ABOUT THE FLYING LADY
Aviation accessories and apparel for your favorite pilot.
The Flying Lady logo is a reboot of the 1970s Flying Lady Restaurant logo. Owned by the original Flying Lady, my Grandma, Janice Perlitch and my Grandpa, Irv.
A little history:
The Flying Lady Restaurant was once one of the largest restaurants in the world. Irv was an avid collector of many things, but especially aircraft. When he opened the 2,000-guest, three-level restaurant on 200 acres in the hills overlooking Morgan Hill, California, he named it in honor of his wife—the flying lady who piloted the 1969 Cessna 182 Skylane that was recently featured on the May 2020 cover of AOPA Magazine!
The Ford Trimotor design you'll find on some of our apparel is to pay homage to Jan & Irv's Ford Trimotor that was featured in the film, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.
